Our community-based forest restoration programs focus on reforestation, natural regeneration, and sustainable forest management. By engaging indigenous groups, women, and youth in plantation drives, nursery development, and biodiversity protection, we ensure that restoration efforts are both inclusive and long-lasting.
Healthy forests reduce disaster risks by stabilizing slopes, protecting watersheds, and improving soil fertility. They support climate resilience by capturing carbon and regulating local temperatures—helping communities adapt to climate impacts. Through the promotion of green enterprises, non-timber forest products, and value-added mountain goods, restored forests also create livelihood opportunities and economic resilience.
Abhiyan Kapilvastu combines traditional knowledge with scientific techniques to strengthen forest ecosystems while empowering local leadership. Together with communities and partners, we are building a greener future—one where thriving forests bring renewed hope, stronger livelihoods, and sustainable development to Nepal’s highlands.
